京都東山の見かけ高さに基づく主峰視点領域の分布特性

Abstract

遠景にはなだらかに見える山並みも，接近すると，それまで見えなかった幾つかの峰が劇的に立ち現れることがある．本研究は，京都東山一帯を対象として，このような固有の山を眺め認識できる限られた領域の分布特性を明らかにすることを目的とする．そのために，GISを用いて隈なく再現した透視図を分析し，ある山が視界の中で最も高く見える視点の範囲（「主峰視点領域」）を特定した．その結果，数多くの細かな主峰視点領域が，東山の山辺一帯に集積している様子が示され，現在の多様性の基と考えられる二種類の分布特性（二重分布・横断分布）が明らかにされた．主峰視点領域は，地形認識の一側面を客観化したものであり，山辺に集積した文化的領域の形成要因を説明するための有用な基礎情報となる．

This study focuses on determination of the domains related with the peaks of mountains which are not physical but visual features, in Higashiyama area. Visual peaks are identified by traditional names of the peaks, visible-invisible analysis using GIS, and perspective views made on 2, 236 observation points located on the foot of Higashiyama Peaks. The distribution of the domains specified by the visual environment is plotted on the map after determination of the highest visual peaks of each observation points. As a result, two types of the configuration are shown; one is the array of domains which cross over the mountain foot area east to west, another is the double belt which consists from a few wide domains of the great peaks and plenty of tiny domains of micro peaks. Especially this double belt implies the basis of coexistence of multiple cultures in harmony with nature on the Higashiyama mountain-foot area.
