欧州の日本資料図書館における活動・実態調査報告 : 日本資料・情報の管理・提供・入手

Abstract

2004年9月11日から同26日まで,京都大学教育研究振興財団の事業である海外派遣助成(短期)を受け，イギリス・アイルランド・オランダの日本資料・日本研究図書館を訪問し，スペインで開かれた日本資料専門家欧州協会年次集会に参加した。各館における実態(特に，活動・運営，資料の入手・提供，目録システム，古典籍資料等)について調査した。日本からの協力・働きかけとしては，ILL受付体制の整備，NACSIS-CAT参加及び総合目録・目録システム形成へのサポート，出版物の積極的な寄贈，貴重資料電子化の支援，発表・報告等の積極的な"発信"等が考えられる。

The author received overseas travel funding assistance from the Kyoto University Foundation to visit Japanese library collections in England, Ireland, and the Netherlands, and to attend the annual conference of the European Association of Japanese Resource Specialists being held in Salamanca, Spain between September 11 to 26, 2004. The author surveyed actual operations (in particular acquisitions, cataloging, reference, OPACs, rare books) in each institution. He found that there were a number of areas such as interlibrary loan operations, participating in NACSIS-CAT, gifts of materials, and the digitization of rare materials where Japanese libraries and librarians could play an important role in providing support or guidance.
