<研究論文>時間的遠近の強調的表示について --朝鮮語の時間語彙を中心に--

Abstract

本稿では朝鮮語の時間語彙を対象として, 「時間的遠近」の表示における表現的な音韻・形態の「強調」現象（母音の長音化, 形態の重複）の遥用可能性について分析と考察を行なう. 「母音の長音化」と「形態の重複」が時間語彙に適用される可能性を朝鮮語母語話者3名に調査したところ, 「母音の長音化」の場合, makやkas, kotを除いておおむね適用可能であった第音節で生じる長音化と第1音節以降で生じる長音化とではその「強調」の機能がやや異なり, 専ら第音節での長音化において「今との断絶性」や「現在性」, 「切迫感」などの程度に関する「強調」が見られた. 「形態の重複」の場合遠近ニュアンスを含意する直示的時間語彙には適用不可だが, 明示的な非直示的語彙では許容されうる. なお, 程度的意味が強められるというよりは, 事態に対する多回的で分配的（distributive）なニュアンスの発生が主であった.

This study examines whether and how phonological and morphological expressive emphasis, especially vowel lengthening and morphological reduplication, would be applied to Korean temporal words. In case of vowel lengthening, Korean temporal words excluding mak, kas, and kot are subject to this emphasis. The lengthening at first syllable functions as the emphasis of temporal degreeness while the lengthening at second or third syllable does not function as such in most cases. As for morphological reduplication, non-deictic words which denote temporal remoteness allow morphological reduplication, while deictic words which connote them do not. Reduplication of temporal words causes the pluralization of stated events and situations on the time line, rather than strengthen the degree of temporal remoteness.
