抄録: | In this paper, the climate, which has been disregarded by modern science, is discussed from a standpoint of clinical psychology, which has been deeply involved in the actual existence of humans. Since the modern era, humans have tended to actively objectivize things and nature, and to clarify and control the universal rules of things and nature by obtaining an analytical and mechanistic understanding through science. In Western countries, climate is no exception, and climatology has been developed to "find regularity consistent with human sensitivity and rational nature, and make nature contribute to human sensitivity and rational nature based on this regularity." In Japan, however, it has been considered since ancient times that the climate directs our lives, and humans can live best by harmonizing it. Although today's Japanese society has been rapidly changing, no large changes have been made in the climate, which continues to underlay Japanese society, and people's unconscious life style determined by the climate. This may produce a gap between unconscious and conscious lifestyles, which can result in a variety of problems. Therefore we considered that clinical psychology with close consideration of the Japanese climate would be required with continuous discussion on Japan's climate. |
