抄録: | The objective of this paper is to analyze Rudolf Steiner's interpretation of Goethe's Faust, to elucidate Steiner's Philosophy of Freedom. As we have seen, each analyst has produced a different interpretation of Faust up to now. Frequently, analysts project their own thinking about Faust. Steiner has also projected his ideas on Faust, . so through the analysis of his understanding, we can read his interpretation ofFaust into his own thoughts. Steiner was a student of Goethe's natural scientific studies in his time. He was outstanding in scholarship, but around the turn of the century, he became an occultist. His essays on Faust were written after that time, and I think these essays express Steiner's own ideas. Their contents are as follows. For example, Steiner interpreted that in the opening scene in Faust, the harmony of the universe is revealed to Faust by the sign of the macrocosm. Steiner says, that Faust defected from the macrocosm because for him it is no more than a "show." But in the second part of Faust, macrocosmic events enter into connect with human experiences. Finally, in the epilogue of Faust, the "show" became Life. Through harmony with macrocosm, Faust acquired true freedom. |
