dc.description.abstract | In 20 male adults with tuberculous bladder the roent g enological figures of the posterior urethra and the vesical neck were studied, taking the urethrogram in a semi-oblique position during the injection of a medium (equal parts of moljodol and oil of sesame). The results obtained ran as follows, compared with those of 20 normal bladders : 1) The transitive figures from the bulb to the membranous segment show ed a wringing form or a naturally transitive form half and half in cases of a normal bladder, while in cases of a tuberculous bladder a wringing form appeared far more frequently than a naturally transitive form. 2) It was difficult t o find a great difference in the figures of the membranous portion between a normal bladder and a tuberculous bladder. 3) The colliculus seminalis was pictured as a lighter area in forms of tadpole or spindle in most cases of a normal bladder, while no appreciable fiigure of the colliculus seminalis could be found in some cases of tuberculous bladder, probably resulting from tuberculous involvement of the prostate gland. 4) The upwards running portion fr o m the proximal end of the colliculus seminalis to the vesical neck appeared both in normal and tuberculous bladder as a picture narrowing gradually towards the vesical border. 5) The vesical neck presented a funnel-shaped figure, expanded upwards far more prominently in cases of a tuberculous bladder than in cases of a normal bladder. | en |
