Abstract: Feminizing syndrome can be defined as the develo p ment of femal characteristics in a male or child. This i s usually manifested by a gynecomastia, often with testicular atrophy and depression of libido. A ca s e of 51-year-old man with the chief complaint of palpable mass in the left hypochondrium was reported, in whom there was clinical evidence of feminization and moderately increased urinary excretion of estrogen. He was successfully treated w ith total extirpation of left adrenal tumor. Postoperatively libido returned to normal and gynecomastia subsided. The present report is the forty-fourth case o f this syndrome reported in the world and also the first case in Japanese literature.
