Pyrodifenium bromideの犬および人尿管筋電図に対する影響

Abstract

Effect of pyrodifenium bromide on the ureter was examined in animals (dogs) and normal men by means of electromyogram of the ureter. Generalized effect of the drug was also observed. The results obtained are summarized as follows. 1. Following intravenous injection of py rodifenium bromide in dog in amounts to 3 to 5 folds of the usual dose, marked reduction of peristaltic movement of the ureter was obser v ed accompanied by increase of conduction velocity. However, no noticeable change was seen on amplitude, continuating time or urinary volume. 2. In normal men, intravenous injection o f pyrodifenium bromide (7.5-15mg) resulted in decrease of peristaltic movement and increase of conduction velocity of the ureter similar t o seen in dog, but almost no change was observed on amplitude, continuating time and urinary volume. 3. As side effects, slight palpitation of the heart and thirst were encountered, which disappeared within a few minutes without any particular management.
