| Abstract: | A case of squamous cell carcinoma of the left renal pelvis associated with a stag-horn calculus and pyonephrosis was reported. Clinical findings of this case were compared with those of one of the similar cases in Japan. Sixty-nine cases of squamous cell carcinoma of the renal pelvis were previously reported in Japan. The patient, a 48-year-old man, known to have stone in the left kidney as diagnosed 10 months previously, was admitted to our clinic complaining of left flank colic with fever. Preoperative diagnosis was renal stone with pyonephrosis and nephrectomy was performed. Multiple tumor of the renal pelvis was found postoperatively which was microscopically squamous cell carcinoma. |
