抄録: | Kawai (1999) says we should consider depth psychology as 'the psychology of I'. This means that whatever the contents discussed by clients may be, the theme taken there is how the subject 'I' am in those issues. The point of this theme is not the incidents, but the 'I' who is talking of them itself. The central theme there is not how an issue means to the subject 'I', but how 'I' am in that issue. And the point on this theme of 'I' is thought to be that 'I' am living two splits: one is the split between 'I' and others, and the other is between 'I' and the inner foreignness of 'I.' These feelings of two splits are taken as the pain of 'I' being nothing but 'I.' It is the pain of 'I' living the two splits both inside and outside. The framework of the psychotherapy is thought to have made up to deal with this theme between two persons, therapist and client, who both are living this same pain. That is why the central theme taken in 'the psychology of I' is thought to be how we live the pain of 'I' being nothing but 'I.' |
