文獻目錄を通して見た六朝の歴史意識

Abstract

All historical records are written on the basis of the author's consciousness of history. The present writer will study the historical consciousness of the Six Dynasties by analysing the character of the works in the Sui-shu ching-chi-chih shih-pu (隋書経籍志史部). 1. The importance of chronological histories, once replaced by annal and biography type histories, was once more recognized. It was admitted that chronological recording also may exactly explain the structure of history. 2. The compilation of the T'ung-shih (通史) by Emperor Wu (武) at the Liang (梁) Dynasty was supported by his respect for the contemporary age. 3. The prevalence of ch'i-chu-chu (起居注), day by day records of the emperor's daily life, shows that the idea of preserving accurate records and instruction by it had arisen. 4. Changes in the understanding of history made it possible to write imaginary and fictional history which had not previously been thought to be the object of historical recording. 5. The appearance of an independent shih-pu or history section in the bibliography reflects the changes in historical recording and further in the consciousness of history.
