北宋名人の姻戚關係 : 晏殊と歐陽脩をめぐる人人

Abstract

Under the T'ang dynasty the "eminent men" who were successful in climbing the social ladders by their own merits tried to make matrimonial ties with the traditional aristocracy, while some of the declining noble families desired the same from economic reasons. Then came the troublous age of the Five Dynasties which destroyed the old aristocracy. Most Sung eminent men who came from the lower classes attempted to keep their families' social and political status by choosing able young men for their daughters in marriage. Such instances are not difficult to find : An Shu, Premier in the Ten-tsung era, married his daughter to Fu Pi who became a premier and played an important role in negotiations with Liao ; Ou-yang Hsiu's family had matrimonial relations with Hsueh K'uei and Wu Ch'ing; Wu Ch'ung's family had close ties by marriage with the families of such eminent people as Ou-yang Hsiu, Wang An-shin, Lu Kung-chu, Hsia Sung and Wen Yen-po.
