古代巴蜀史の再構成 : 傳承時代

Abstract

The region of Ba 巴 and Shu 蜀 entered into the development of history centering on the North China Plain in the late fourth century B.C. when it came under the control of Qin 秦. Consequently for the purpose of reconstructing the ancient history of Ba-Shu before that point there is no alternative but to follow the fragmentary notices which occur in the Shu-jing 書經 and the Zuo-zhuan 左傳 or else the Hua-yang guo-zhi 華陽國志 which was compiled in the middle of the fourth century A.D. Otherwise one must rely upon archaeological remains and artifacts. But studies in this latter area have not been adequately pursued. The region which forms the subject of this article is limited to the eastern basin of Si-chuan 四川 province, and the Hua-yang guo-zhi's entries for the legendary period of Ba-Shu history are examined with the aid of the Shu-wang ben-ji 蜀王本紀 ascribed to Yang Xiong 楊雄. The author concludes that although most of the material in the Hua-yang guo-zhi consiosfts the fabrications of later periods, it includes authentic traditions concerning this region.
