<調査報告・実践報告>日研生教育における課題研究の位置付けと役割 --『2011年度日本政府(文部科学省)奨学金留学生 日本語・日本文化研修留学生コースガイド』の分析を基に--

Abstract

課題研究の実施有無を基準に全国における日本語・日本文化研修留学生に対するプログラム概要を分析し、課題研究を取り入れたカリキュラムの特徴を明らかにすることが本稿の目的である。文部科学省刊行の全受け入れ校のプログラム概要が掲載されているコースガイドを研究資料としながら、受け入れ校の課題研究の実施実態と教育における位置づけ、課題研究遂行に必要な技能を補うための方策について分析した。その結果、カリキュラムにおける課題研究の設定の有無と受け入れ人数、想定学年、達成目標及びカリキュラム編成の仕方が深く関わっていることが明らかになった。日研生カリキュラムにおいて課題研究は、修了認定の基準としての役割そしてアカデミックスキル及び専門的素養を育成する方法としての役割を担っている。課題研究を取り入れたカリキュラムにおいては、課題の遂行を助長する日本語のアカデミックスキル及び研究能力を養う科目が開設されていることが顕著に多く、カリキュラムを特徴付けている。これらの科目は時間的・言語的制約を克服し、課題研究遂行を可能にしている。

The purpose of this study is to reveal the role and significance of completion research in the curriculum of Japanese government scholarship holders(Nikkensei)of the category Japanese Study Student. The completion research has two main functions: 1)it serves as the criteria for acknowledging the completion of the program, educationally enabling the students to develop all-round academic ability and specialized knowledge, which cannot be easily acquired through normal lecture auditing; and 2)it accompanies many supportive courses that provide students the opportunity to acquire specialized academic skills as well as research skills. Furthermore, this study classifies the course design of the programs offered to Nikkensei students country wide, thereby indicating the close relationship between the completion research and the type of course design.
