| 抄録: | The conservation and revitalization of minority languages is a major cultural concern in contemporary Africa. The Mande-speaking Manon (or Mano in Liberia) people are one of the smallest minority ethnic groups in the Republic of Guinea. Only about 100, 000 speakers of Maawe, a language in the Mande family, reside in Guinea, and about 350, 000 individuals speak this language worldwide. This study provides the first wordbook-style materials for learning this minority language, produced in French by a native linguist and based on intensive fieldwork. |
