抄録: | Performance of the Knudsen pump is studied numerically to find out effective configurations not only for the finally achieved separation and compression rates, but also for its time efficiency. A system of convection–diffusion equations with transmission conditions, which have been derived from the Boltzmann equation under the narrow channel approximation, is used for simulations of various configurations. A comparison with the experiment of evacuation from a tank is also made to demonstrate the practical ability of that system. |
