東日本大震災の津波による建築被害

Abstract

東日本大震災では，津波によって無数の建物が流され，壊滅的な被害を受けた。本稿では，地震発生から約1ヶ月後に行った女川町，気仙沼市，陸前高田市，石巻市の地震被害調査をもとに，津波による建築被害を報告する。戸建て住宅は基礎のみを残して流され，鉄骨造建物では外装材が流され柱・梁・床のみ残されるケースが多い。津波による構造的被害は鉄筋コンクリート造建物で最も軽微であった。ただし，フーチングと杭基礎の接合部が破壊して鉄筋コンクリート建物が流され転倒したケースがあった。津波避難ビルでは，基礎構造にも十分に留意する必要がある。

An innumerable number of houses were destroyed by tsunami of the 2011 Tohoku-Chiho taiheiyo-Oki Earthquake. This paper reports the building damage caused by the tsunami at Onagawa-cho, Isinomaki-city, Kesennuna-city and Rikuzentakada-city. In the investigated area, where tsunami was extremely high, many wooden houses were washed away, excepted houses on high ground. Most of the exterior walls of steel buildings were destroyed and washed away. Structural damage of RC building was relatively limited. However, RC 4-story building was swept away and topple, because the pile cap-pile joints were collapsed. This indicates that the seismic design of pile foundations is important for tsunami refuge buildings.
