抄録: In the autumn season of 2009, we visited Yunnan Province of China for 2weeks. During this time, we visited the southern part of Honghe (Red river), such as the Thai Village, Yao Village, Chiwan Village and the Southeast side of Kunming, Yuehu Yi Ethnic Cultural and Ecological Village. And also we visited the Vietnam-China Border Gate at the Jinshuihe (named Ma Lu Thang in Vietnam) and Hekou (named Lao Cai in Vietnam). Standing at the Jinping and the Jinshuihe, I have been reflecting on the Modern history of the North-West part of Vietnam. We will never forget a part of The Vietnam Declaration of Independence, as follows. In the autumn of 1940, when the Japanese fascists violated Indochina's territory to establish new bases in their fight against the Allies, the French imperialists went down on their bended knees and handed over our country to them. Thus, from that date, our people were subjected to the double yoke of the French and the Japanese. Their sufferings and miseries increased. The result was that, from the end of last year to the beginning of this year, from Quang Tri Province to the North of Viet-Nam, more than two million of our fellow citizens died from starvation.(WIKIPEDIA)
