| 抄録: | This study presents a new analysis of the aspect system of GÇ ui, the Western Kalahari Khoe branch, the Khoe-Kwadi family. Topics to be discussed include a Khoisan areal typological property of the GÇ ui aspect system, a set of semantic features for an adequate description of the nine aspect markers attested in GÇ ui, an interpretation of the unexpected semantic extensions of two progressive markers, and the importance of posture verbs in the evolution of the GÇ ui aspect system. |
