Abstract: It is necessary to learn not only from unsafe events but also from normal operation forimproving and developing the resilience on the fields of safety management. While safety informationsystems are developed and used for learning the lessons from unsafe events in the organization, there isno systems to learn from normal operation. Authors expect ”staffs’ daily chats” could be a mechanismto facilitate learning from normal operations, examine the relationship between such chats and safetymanagement, and study how they could be enhanced. In this paper, researches conducted by authorsare reviewed and the future works are discussed.
