<研究ノート>安息式射法雑考

Abstract

東亜の諸地域に痕跡をとどめる所謂「安息式射法」と云われるうしろを顧みて騎射する方法は、バルティアの創始ではない。本論考に於ては、この射法がスキタイを初めとする騎馬民族の開発にあり、安息騎兵とその戦法を考察することによって、この安息式射法といわれるものが騎兵戦における重要な戦略であった点を文献的に論証した。

Ancient relics from the Orient and East asia have many traces of the way to shoot backward on the horse back. They are known as "Parthian Shot", but originally Scythians or nomad tribes such as Cimmerians establised it earlier than Parthians. This article introduces by early literature "Parthian Shot" to be important art developed in the battles among nomad tribes.
