金属資源事業のリスクマネジメント

Abstract

商社はトレーディングビジネスを生業にしてきたが，近年は事業への投資及び経営により投資企業の価値を向上し，連結収益を拡大するビジネスモデルへ変革している．商社の事業の中で金属資源事業は，収益及び社会貢献の観点から重要な位置付けとなっている．但し，商社は資源メジャー企業と比較して，経営資源が制限され，且つ顧客やステークホルダーとの関係性も考慮する必要がある．一方，金属資源事業に関する先行研究では，個別の鉱山資源の評価方法や鉱山経営モデルについて研究されている．本研究では，商社の金属資源事業の研究及び金属資源業界の分析を通して，新たに資源ポートフォリオマネジメントや商社のバリューチェーン戦略におけるリスクマネジメントにフォーカスを当てて，金属資源投資における成功条件を考察する．

General trading and investing companies called “Shosha” have made trading business a core business model, but in recent years they are transforming into a business model that increases the value of investment enterprises through business investment and management and expands consolidated revenues and profits. In the business of a general trading and investing company, the metal resources business is an important position from the viewpoint of profits and social contribution. However, as compared with resource major companies, they have limited management resources, and they also need to consider the relationship with customers and stakeholders. Meanwhile, in the previous research on the metal resources project, methods of evaluating individual mining resources and mine management model have been studied. In this research, we focus on the risk management in resource portfolio management and their value chain strategy through research of their metal resource business and analysis of metal resources industry, and consider the success factors of metal resource investments.
