近年の地質災害から学んだこと

Abstract

Geohazards have occurred almost every year and their mechanisms have been still being newly found. The physical principles that control landslides are rather simple and mostly already known, but the diversity in geological conditions beneath the ground surface makes it difficult to make models and to do quantitative analysis for their prediction and mitigation. Here, various cases of landslides induced by rainstorms and earthquakes are reviewed and new mechanisms found from them are introduced.
