| 抄録: | The Median Tectonic Line is one of the longest active fault zones in Japan. The active faults in Kongo-Izumi area is running near the populated area in Kansai. Our research group has started to study this active fault zone in detail to get the information for developing the long-term earthquake evaluation and the strong ground motion prediction in 2014-2016FY. Here we explain the results of seismic reflection surveys and borehole experiments conducted in this research program and indicate several findings on the source faults in the shallower portion and characteristics of the sediments of Wakayama area. |
