表面的音楽 : ルーマニアのマネレがつなぐ世界

Abstract

ポスト共産主義期のルーマニアで広まったマネレは、刹那的で中身のない表面的な音楽として批判されてきた。本論文では、特に2010年代以降のマネレの展開に着目することで、マネレが地域やコミュニティの内と外を攪乱する「表面」となリながら、個人や集団に潜在する葛藤やつながりを生みだしている動態を明らかにする。マネレは、その主な担い手であるロマのように、単一の民族や起源に根ざさないゆえに異なる伝統を媒介するのだ。

Manele, a popular music genre in the post-communist Romania, has been criticized as ephemeral and superficial music without contents. This article illuminates how manele, especially after the 2010's, gives rises to conflicts and connections potentially existing between individuals and g「oups, by becoming the "surface" which disturbs the inside and the outside of territories and communities. Manele mediates different traditions, just like the Roma who have engaged in producing it, because it is not based on a singu lar ethnicity or origin.
