| 抄録: | The Triśatībhāṣya is an anonymous commentary on the Triśatī of Śrīdhara (ca. 800 CE) which is an arithmetic book written in Sanskrit. The Triśatī describes arithmetic rules and examples briefly. On the other hand, the Triśatībhāṣya explains the computational procedures in detail. The present pater attempts to reconstruct the algorithms for square and square root illustrated in the Triśatībhāṣya and to elucidate some of its mathematical features through the comparison with the algorithms given in other arithmetic books. |
