| 抄録: | Recently, special attention has been paid to Augustus De Morgan concerning his influence on mathematics and mathematical education of Japan in the Meiji period (1868-1912). In this note, we survey his life and work, which seems to have contributed indirectly to the development of mathematics from the late 19th century to the 20th century. |
