Abstract: | This paper deals with the problem of the two-dimensional flow of perfect fluid through the wing lattice composed of airfoils of an arbitrary section. Three methods being developed, the first one is an extension of Munk's airfoil theory, the second one using Fourier expansion and the third one an exact method of conformal representation. These theories have been developed since 1945 and, in this paper, they are explained briefly and also chronologically. |
