|Abstract:||The pressure coefficients of the limiting ionic conductivity of [Co(NH_3)_6]^3+, SO_4^2-, Cl^- and K^+ in water at 25℃ have been obtained over the pressure range 1～600kg/cm^2. The results are used to evalute the volume of activation. ΔV≠, for ionic migration derived by applying the theory of transition state to the migration of an ion. For each ion ΔV≠ is negative and becomes less negative with increasing pressure, which may be due to the nature of water as solvent.|
