| 抄録: | Ossification and calcification were observed respective l y in the pyelonephritic contracted kidney of a 57-year-old man and in the left kidney of an 18-year-old boy where papillary tumor of the renal pelvis was present. This ossification is thought n ot to be a tumor lesion, but to be resulted from metaplasia of connective tissue beneath the nephritic mucous membrane. The mechanism is not known, and as compared with the renal parenchyma, the renal pelvis was considered to show a relative increase in blood supply. |
