唐代における官人處罰 : 罰俸制度を中心に

Abstract

In the period from the end of the seventh to the early-eighth century in China, legal institutions were consolidated, and within this complication of laws and legal precedents the positions of officials were defined and delineated. In this paper, I examine the question of punishment of officials. Punishment of officials was, On the whole, delineated by legal statutes. However, the application of these statutes was not specified in the legal code. This situation was due to the rapid change and development in this period of bureaucratic institutions, especially legal institutions. Within the evolution of the legal structure, categories of officials were definitively established and set forth. In this study, I examine in particular confiscation of salary as a form of punishment applied to court officials.
