心理臨床を茶の湯に見立てる --心理臨床と茶の湯文化の心理・空間的比較--

Abstract

本論文は心理臨床分野と日本の茶の湯文化との間の心理・空間的な概念的要素の比較を行うことによって、両者の共通点と相違点を述べ、それぞれに有用と考えられる知見を探ったものである。その結果、全体として、茶の湯文化に構造的に規定されていると考えられる、可能性空間を担保し非日常性を空間に付与するような要素は、心理臨床の実践場面において治療構造や枠に加え、セラピストの理解や態度に大きく規定されていることが明らかとなった。また茶の湯における見立て技法に関する比較から、心理臨床の実践において豊かな可能性空間を形成する上で非言語的に共有される意味が重要となる可能性が指摘された。またMeltzer の美概念を中心とした比較から、心理臨床の実践場面においては美の負の側面に着目する傾向が指摘され、セラピストがその視点と共に美の感動や喜び、そしてそれを通した共感的関係性に開かれることの重要性について考察された。

This article makes a comparison between clinical psychology and Japanese tea ceremony culture, and describes common points and differences regarding psychological spatial concepts, and explores useful findings of each. The spatial structural elements of tea ceremony culture that secure the potential space and give extraordinariness to the space are largely defined by the therapist's understanding and attitude in addition to the therapeutic structure and framework in the clinical practice of psychology. In addition, a comparison of the "mitate" technique of tea ceremony suggested that nonverbal shared meaning may be important in forming a rich potential space in the practice of clinical psychology. A comparison centered on Meltzer's concept of beauty indicated that there is a tendency to note the negative side of beauty in the clinical practice of psychology. It is important that therapists are open to joy of esthetic experience, and empathic relationships through it.
