バカロレア型教育プログラムに関する論点 --MBacc、IBDP、APキャップストーンとの比較検討--

Abstract

本稿では、MBaccとIBDP及びAPキャプストーンのカリキュラムを比較することによって、バカロレア型教育プログラムの論点を浮き彫りにすることにした。MBaccは、汎用的能力を育成・評価する独自のカリキュラムをもつミネルヴァ大学のカリキュラムを参考にして作成された高校教育プログラム(3年間の標準カリキュラムと1年間の選択カリキュラム)である。MBaccの1年〜3年のカリキュラムにおいて、科目間で関連性が高い知識やスキルが「科目横断型学習成果(XLOs)」として取り出され、XLOsが各科目をつなぐ中核的な科目として位置づけられる。本稿では、3つの教育プログラムの比較検討を通して、中等教育修了という意味での固有の一般教育を志向するのか、それとも、高大接続を前提として大学における研究的な学びを前倒そうとするのかという高大接続観に関する論点と、教育プログラムをどのようなまとまりとして構成するのかという論点があることを提示した。

This paper describes issues in the baccalaureate-type education program by comparing MBacc with IBDP and AP Capstone curricula. In the MBacc curriculum from the year 1 to the year 3, knowledge and skills that are highly relevant across subjects are extracted as cross-course learning outcomes (XLOs), and XLOs are positioned as core subjects that link each subject. Through a comparative study of the three educational programs, this paper presents two issues. The first is whether to be oriented toward general education specific to the completion of secondary education, or whether to bring forward research-based learning in universities based on the premise of a high school-university articulation. The second is how to structure the secondary education program as a cohesive whole.
