陰部瓦斯蜂窩織炎の症例に就いて

Abstract

As to gaseous phlegmon no literature seems t o be available hitherto in our country except a case report of Watanabe in 1941. Recently, we present authors could observe a case of this disease, as follows : The male patient, 30 years of age was hospitalised at emergency with sudden pain and swelling of scrotum on Oct. 12, 1955. And the result of examination were : 1) The disease was brought about by symbiosis of Staph. albus and E. coli, capable of enormous gas formation. 2) The lesion was localized i n the subcutaneous tissues, and no changes conld be seen on skin surface. 3) The clinical aspec ts resembled Fournier's gangrene but no gangrene was observed anywhere.
