単腎に発生せる巨大な尿管結石の1例

Abstract

The pyelography through percutaneous trocar nephrostomy in a patient coniplained of dull pain in loins for about a few weeks revealed a left ureteral calculus and absence of right kidney. She h a d been operated for uterus bicornis, and no function of right kidney due to the ligature of ureter was suspected, but no right kidney was discovered at the time of ureterolithotomy and a congenital solitary kidney was suspected. Congenital anomalies of urinary organ and genital o r gan are often combined and the incidence of congenital solitary kidney is about 0.1 %. A congenital solitary kidney does not have such a reservecapacity and compensatory hyperplasia as single kidney has. This hypofunction stir up very high incidence of urinary calculus, pyonephrosis and renal tuberculosis. The removed large calculus from lower part of enlarged ureter was formed of uric acid; 9 x 1.5 x1.5 cm size, 23 gm of weight.
