尿路感染症に対するTetrexの応用

Abstract

Tetrex, tetracycline phosphate complex, was used for clinical studies. Tetrex revealed good activity against several strains of M. pyog. var. aureus and E. coli isolated from patient's urine or urethral smear. Serum concentration o f Tetrx frcm one hour to three hours after oral administration revealed almost dcuble nmcurt of sertm levels after same administration cf tetracycline hydrochloride. Tetrex used for treatment of urinaly tract infections containing 9 cases with acute gonococcal urethritis, 5 cases with NGU, 2 cases with periurethral abscess, one cae with spermatocystitis, 7 cases with acute cystitis, 2 cases with chronic cystitis and 6 cases with acute pyeritis. All of 9 cases with acute gonococcal urethritis were curable. Two cases with NUG were curable, cne was allmost curable, one negative and another one had a relapse. Both two cases with periurethral abscess were almost curable. One case with spermatocystitis was negative. All of 7 cases with acute cystitis were curable but both 2 cases with chronic cystitis were negative. All of 6 cases with acute pyeritis were curable.
