非淋菌性尿道炎に於けるPleuropneumonia-LikeOrganisms(PPLO)に関する研究 第III編:各種抗生物質に対するPPLOの威受性に就て

Abstract

The susceptibility of human genital strains of Pleuropneu m onia-Like Organisms (PPLO) to various antibiotics was investigated. The genital strains used were 17 strains isolated from non-gonococcal urethritis in the male and 2 strains (07, 'Campo L') isolated in America. The antibiotics studied were tetracycline (TC), oxytetracycline (TM), chlortetracycline (AM), streptomycin (SM), dihydro-streptomycin (DSM), chloramphenicol (CM), erythromycin (EM), oleandomycin (OM), kanamycin (KM), Sigmamycin (SigM), rondomycin (RM), and crystalline sodium penicillin G (Pc). Serial dilutions of each compound were prepared with the semi-solid media, and the minimal concentration of inhibition of PPLO strains was estimated. The resul t s showed that ; 1) Both TC and TM wer e most effective in inhibiting the growth of PPLO. The minimum growth inhibitory concentration of these two antibiotics were 0.1 to 1.0 mcg/ml and 0.1 to 5.0 mcg/ml, respectively. 2) SM and Sig M were the better inhibitors. The number of strains which were inhibited by 5.0mcg/m1 of SM and SigM were 15 of 19 strains and 8 of 15 strains respectively. 3) Concentrations of 10 mcg/ml of RM inhibited the growth of 8 out of 15 s trains, and KM in the same concentration only inhibited 5 out of 15 strains. 4) Concentrations of 25 mcg/ml of DSM inhibited o nly 5 out of 19 strains, while AM and CM inhibited only 2 out of 19 strains. 5) Both EM and OM were not e ffective against all strains at a concentration of 200 mcg/ml. Pc did not inhibit any of the strains at a concentration of 5, 000u nit/ml.
