抄録: | 1) In 46 cases of unilateral upper urolithiasis, both hyperphosphatemia and h ypercalcemia were found in 50 per cent and their combined cases 22.8 per cent. On the other hand, combined cases of hypophosphatemia and hypercalcemia were only 2.8 per cent and bypercalcuria was found in 31.4 per cent. 2) In 7 cases of bilateral upper u rolithiasis, a case of primary hyperparathyroidism was found, which was 18 per cent of 53 cases of upper urolithiasis. 3) In 24 cases of unilateral upper urolithiasis, pho s phate and calcium levels in urine of diseased kidney were lower than that of sound kidney, but the difference was less than 10 mg/dl. 4) In 4 cases of upper urolithiasis, intravenous injection of 20cc of 3% calcium chloride decreased the urinary phosphate excretion. The accumulated excretory volumes of phosphate and calcium in urine have straightly increased in the period of 1 to 3 hours after the injection. 5 ) It is likely to occur unbalance of phosphate and calcium metabolism in the most cases of urolithiasis and the formation of urinary stone is closely associated with parathyroid function. The author interprets in a wide sense that urolithiasis may be caused by parathyroid dysfunction. |
