所謂狭義水腎症に於ける腎盂尿管移行部の平滑筋の排列に関する研究

Abstract

An attempt was made in the present study to clar i f y causative factors for the hydronephrosis in a narrow sense due to the disturbance of urinary passage through the ureteropelvic junction. Surgical specimens of this region were histologically examined regarding arrangement of muscle fiber and compared with those of normal controls. Results of the study in five normal cases corresponded to tho s e in the report by Murnaghan. Abnormal arrangement of muscle fiber was noted in seven out of ten cases of the hydronephrosis. Longitudinal muscle fibers were predominant at the ureteropelvic junction in six of the seven cases. Th e re were the same findings at the upper part of the ureter in the remaining one case. No change was found in the arrangement of the muscle fibers in the remaining t h ree cases although all of them had the typical symptoms of hydronephrosis. The ganglion cells could not be found at the uretero p elvic junction in all cases.
