Abstract

1) The authors experienced and reported a case of renal p elvic stone of which kernel was a pelvic foreign body (a needle of acupuncture), and more made some consideration with literature as to a course of sticking into. When this patient, fourty-eight-years-old male suffered acupuncture for his lumbago, he was stuck into lumbar region by a needle. Although extraction of that needle at once was done, it resulted in a failure. After about 26 months, he v isited to our clinic and suffered pelviolithotomy under diagnosis as renal pelvic stone. 2) Although acupunctu r e has commonly been popularized and esteemed, owing to produce rarely some sacrifice as this case, should be noticed hereafter.
