精嚢腺並びに精管末端部の異常拡張症に就て

Abstract

So far, only 20 cases of seminal cyst or divert i c ulum have been reported in Japan and other countries. Etiology and location of its development are not still clearified. The authors suggested to apply a term, "pathological dilatation" to seminal cyst or diverticulum on the basis of 8 cases to whom a review of articles regarding to this disease and some clinical investigation have been undertaken. According to cystic dilatation of the v esicle located in the posterior aspect of the bladder and to which vesiculography was successfully performed, an introduction of classification of the above into three groups, dilatation of the seminal duct, partial or total pathological dilatation of the seminal vesicle itself, and pathological dilatation of the Miflier's duct, has been attempted. Furthermore, it has been reported that it is reasonable to suspect this disease in male sterility and to make them fertile by excision of the dilated portion, on the basis of the facts that this disease were often found in male sterility and that majority of the cases with this disease were in sterility.
