尿石症に於ける副甲状腺機能亢進症の経験

Abstract

Three cases of upper urinary tract calculi with the primary hyperparathyroidism due to adenoma of the parathyroid gland were experienced in the period of 19 months, September 1958 through March 1960. Three cases correspond to 2.8% of all cases of upper urinary tract calculi treated during the same period. This incidence is similar to that reported in literature in Europe and the United States. The fact suggests that the hyperparathyroidism as a cause of urolithiasis would be found more frequently in Japan by always keeping this pathology in mind and making effort to disclose it. The most important factors in the diagnosis are decrease of the tubular reab s orpt ion of phosphate and of urine concentration.
