巨大尿管の2例

Abstract

Two cases of megaloureter were experienced in o u r clinic. The first case was a woman aged 43 years who had a marked dilatation of the right ureter without mechanical obstruction. The second case was a 4-year-old girl. She also had a marked dilatation of the left ureter without any mechanical obstruction in the urinary tract. Histopathological examination which was performed i n the second case has revealed the absence of ganglion cells at the bladder wall surrounding the ureteral orifice, as described by Swenson in 1952. Both patients were treated by total nephro-ureterectomy and are doing well postoperatively. The literature of megaloureter was reviewed.
