逆行性腎盂撮影に関する研究 第III篇: 威染予防に就て

Abstract

Against an infection of urinary tract that is on e of defects on retrograde pyelography, it is tried to add some kinds of antibiotics to contrast solution. It should be added under the adequate conditions based on 1) lack of toxicity, 2) lack of irritative qualities in effective concentration, 3) broadness of antimicrobial spectrum, and 4) chemical compatibility with the usual contrast solution. Initial studies were made w i t h a variety of substances including Penicillin, Streptomycin, Tetracycline and Dextromycin, has been found to be the bacteriocidal additive of choice. Retrograde pyelographic studies have been made on patients using Dextromycin as additive to contrast solution and it was concluded that numbers of acute pyelitic patient via urinary tract infection decreased to about 1/10 with use of above solution to the upper urinary lithiasis.
