睾上体垂捻転症の1例

Abstract

In Europe and America, 8 cases of the torsion of appendix epididymidis has only been reported. In Japan, so far 4 cases has been reported and our case is considered as the fifth. Case, a 28-year-old male office-worker. On Sep. 2. 1956, the patient complained of p ain in left scrotum without any known cause which brought him to our clinic after 5 days. Hydrocortisone 100 mg per os was given for 5 days after the diagnosis of suspicious of epididymitis acuta was made. After the administration of Hydrocortisone 500 mg (total), a pedunculated little tumor attached to globus major of left epididymis was palpated. During operation, appendix epididymidis twisted 180 degrees counter-clock-wise was noticed and this was removed. This patient made an unevntful recovery.
