各種抗菌性物質の管腔性造影剤との混合に関する研究

Abstract

Infection is known to be one of the most serious problem s in retrograde pyelography, urethrography and seminal vesiculography. In order to prevent infection, various kinds of antibacterial agents, mostly antibiotics, were applied in such a way as adding one of them to 60% Urografin or Endografin. Bactericidal agent s used were Penicillin, Streptomycin, Oxytetracycline, Dimethoxyphenyl Penicillin, Chloramphenicol, Erythromycin, Sulfisomezole Na, and Terramycin for I. M. and I. V.. It was observed that only 8 cases (6%) developed bacterial infection out of 133 retrograde pyelography when an antibiotic was combined. On the other hand, 8 cases (19%) got n e w infection out of 42 retrograde pyelography in which urographic media without added antibiotics were used. Out of 6 cases of hemorrhagic seminal vesiculitis, h emospermia quickly disappeared following seminal vesiculography with use of contrast medium combined with one of bactericidal agents. It was , therefore. confirmed that authors' attempt was satisfactory in regard to prevention of newy infection or spread of established infection which might be produced in retrograde X-ray study of urinary and seminal tract.
