泌尿器科領域に於けるHibitane(Chlorhexidine)使用経験に就いて

Abstract

Until recently Rivanol solution was used for post-o p erativei rrigation of the bladder, but because of high incidence of infection following catheterization Hibitane became to be used. The first publication on Hibitane is from Davies, Rose and Swain (1954). It seemed very suitable for use in genito-urinary work because its antibacterial spectrum covers all the organisms likly to be encountered. As shown in Table I, this antiseptc was succesfully used in the irrigation for urinary tract infection, including 9 cases with so-called catheter life patients, 2 cases with nongonococcal urethritis.
