尿道外傷と外傷性尿道狭窄の臨床的観察

Abstract

Clinical investigations were made on 144 patients w i t h urethral trauma and post-traumatic urethral stricture seen at the urological clinic of Gifu Prefectural Medical School during the period January 1956 to April 1962. Conclusions are as follow s : The total outpatients were 1 0, 826d uring that period. The urethral stricture was observed in 144 (1.33%) of them and the post-traumatic urethral stricture in 48 (0.46%), which included nine patients with the pelvic fracture caused by traffic accidents. Seventy-five per-cent of urethral stricture was observed at the pars membranacea. The period, from the onset until the first examination, was varied as follows : within one month-16.2%, from two to six months-27.0%, and from seven to twelve months-8.1%. The operative treatment was p erformed in 8 patients and nonoperative in 40. It was realized that urological treatm ent for post-traumatic urethral stricture has not been always satisfactory. The most suitable treatment should be decided upon urethrography correctly taken. Cortic o steroids and new enzymatic medicines should be used together with other therapies for the after treatment to which we have to pay reasonable attention.
