副睾丸結核の研究 第I報: 副睾丸結核の臨床的観察

Abstract

Statistical and clinical observations were made on the patients with tuberculous epididymitis in our department during the period of 13 years from 1946 to 1959. I. Incidence, age distribution, diseased side, extentions of l esions, anamnesis and complications of both of the in and out patients were almost in accord with the reports ever published. II. Tuberculosis of epididymis in the ages of the second and the third decade has decreased. There is an increasing tendency of tuberculous epididymitis in the age of under 20 and over 40 years old. III. The morb i d involvement of the opposite side of epididymis after the unilateral surgical interventions, which were castration in the majority cases, was found in 12 cases of 59 (20.3%). Application of chemotherapy seemingly diminished the involvement of the other epididymis.
