dc.description.abstractThis report deals with clinical evaluations of a u s e of Kimopsin (a-chymotripsin) for the treatment of post-operative complications in the field of urological surgery. Kimopsin, being one of the endopeptidases, is recently known to have curative effects on inflammatory edema. The results of studies are summerized as follows. 1) The drug was injected intramuscularly in 4 7 cases during the postoperative course and gave satisfactory results in clinical findings. No side effect was experienced. 2) The drug was added in vitro to semen of 6 cases with oligozo o spermia or necrozoospermia and resulted in marked improvements of the viscosity of semen and the motility of spermatozoa.en
